A polícia da cidade de Oklahoma prendeu dois hackers suspeitos de invadir e roubar tokens da Exchange Crowd Machine no valor de US$ 14 milhões. As informações são do portal de noticias Oklahoma News 4.”

De acordo com a polícia americana, os criminosos utilizaram uma técnica conhecida como “troca SIM”. Esse modelo é uma técnica utilizada para ludibriar operadoras de telefonia possibilitando o acesso ao número usado no cadastro da Exchange.

O CEO e fundador da CrowMachine, Craig Spraule, disse que não daria maiores informações sobre o caso para não atrapalhar as investigações, porém ele admitiu que os dois suspeitos moram no Missouri e que foram presos.

As informações preliminares indicam que os suspeitos foram presos em um quarto de hotel, de onde foi feita a invasão na plataforma digital e, após o assalto, as criptomoedas foram enviadas para várias exchanges ao redor do mundo.
